Moles

Moles are growths on the skin that are usually brown or black and can appear anywhere on the skin, either alone or in groups. Moles are actually clusters of skin that grow together instead of being spread throughout the skin and most are not dangerous.  Mole can become a medical concern if they are shaped differently than existing moles or change color, height, size, or shape.  When this happens you should have an evaluation to determine if the mole should be treated or removed. Also if you have a mole that bleeds, oozes, or becomes tender or painful it should be checked.
